On February 13, 2026, Anglistikos akademija will welcome students from Vilniaus Tuskulėnų gimnazija for an engaging educational visit designed to introduce them to the world of English Philology and university-level studies.
The programme will begin at 9:40 with a friendly meet and greet over tea. Students will then be introduced to the question What is English Philology?, followed by two interactive academic sessions led by experienced lecturers.
From 10:00 to 10:30, Justina Urbonaitė will deliver a sample class in forensic linguistics titled “Linguistics at the Crime Scene: How Words Become Evidence”, showing how language analysis can play a crucial role in real-life investigations.
Later, from 10:40 to 11:10, Davide Castiglione will lead a creative writing session “Painting with Words: What’s in a Description?”, inviting students to explore how meaning, imagery, and style are created through language.
The visit will conclude with a guided tour around the faculty from 11:20 to 11:50, offering students a closer look at academic life, study spaces, and the history of the faculty. The programme will end at 11:50.
This visit offers students a valuable opportunity to experience English Philology from both analytical and creative perspectives, while getting a taste of university studies.
