Arčis Auštras. Bridges in the Baltics

🌿 🦊 🎈This weekend, two students from our 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 programme, 𝗔𝗿č𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝘂š𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿, had the opportunity to take part in Bridges in the Baltics, a conference bringing together young scholars from universities across the Baltic region.

🌿 🦊 🎈We asked our students to share their reflections on the experience, and 𝗔𝗿č𝗶𝘀 kindly sent us his thoughts:

🌿 🦊 🎈“After this weekend, I can say with absolute certainty that applying to Bridges in the Baltics was one of the best decisions I've made during my studies. Presenting my own research and discussing it with young scholars from universities across the Baltics was a big step towards my future plans in academia.
The broad range of topics touched upon in this conference—from history to semiotics, from Latvian theatre to graffiti in Kaunas—allowed me to broaden my horizons and consider perspectives that I wouldn't have otherwise.

Of course, the presentations were interesting, but I believe that the crucial part of conferences happens around them: during the coffee breaks, at the breakfast table and when the official part is over. It is those discussions with other participants that provide us with invaluable insight and ideas.
I would like to thank the organizers for bringing this unforgettable event to life and allowing me to be a part of it.”🌿 🦊 🎈

🌿 🦊 🎈We are delighted to see our students presenting their research, exchanging ideas with fellow young scholars, and taking an active part in the academic community beyond the university. 🌿 🦊 🎈
