โAfter listening to the enlightening stories of women from various fieldsโInternational Relations, Politics, STEM, and FinanceโI can see more clearly how the issue of gender inequality differs in shape but remains the same in its core. I am very grateful to the panelists and attendees for sharing their concerns and advocating for urgent action. But most importantly, I thank the panelists for encouraging women to believe in their self-worth and say, โI deserve a seat at the table.โโ
"I had the great honor of attending an event organized by the British Embassy in Lithuania on the role of women in decision-making. It was an inspiring experience that once again encouraged me to reflect on leadership and responsibility in building a more just society.
It was particularly interesting to hear the insights and experiences of leaders from different fields. The discussion highlighted that meaningful change requires concrete action, broader inclusion of voices, a genuine recognition of the value of equality, and decisions with long-term impact.
The research and statistics presented about the situation in Lithuania were especially thought-provoking, and the lively, engaging discussion also addressed contemporary challenges, including artificial intelligence, social exclusion, and the persistent gender inequality still present in some areas.
This meeting prompted me to reflect on the idea that equality is built through everyday decisions, the courage to raise questions, and the willingness to include more voices."
British Embassy Vilnius, Thank you for inviting our students!
Thank you Lara and Greta!
